Fish Culture (Hito)

Mr. Tirso V. Amper, Education Program Specialist - I of the Division of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines initiated a workshop- seminar to all Practical Arts Teachers in both Elementary and Secondary level about Fish Culture. This program will help Practical Arts Teachers gain knowledge on hito culture and could initiate urban fishpond on their respective schools in the city. Mrs. Kristine B. Dingco representative from (BFAR) Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources explained to the participants on how to handle and raise hito fish in school.

  1. a very good, profitable (students and teachers can culture fish and then sell)and educatinal workshop! i hope that the teachers will really impart their knowledge about the workshop to the students. not just attending the workshop for attendance and free materials.

  2. Tirso V. Amper, my father, died 58 years old with liver cancer.
